We focus on the use of virtual environments and augmented environments, particularly in the application of training. We perform both software and hardware research and development.
Certainly! We collaborate both with other university labs and with industry (including on SBIRs and STTRs). Feel free to contact us if you are interested in working with us.
Yes, we have both graduate and undergraduate students in the lab. Most have a strong programming background although other knowledge is not required at the start. Of course, our needs depend on our projects. However, feel free to send us a resume and we'll consider it when we have a need.
The IRL will have a poster on our HapMed Extremities-Multiple Application Trainer (E-MAT) device at the IEEE Virtual Reality Conference on March 8-12, 2008 in Reno, NV. We hope to have the E-MAT on display as well!
